Silver stars in the midnight sky singing- "oh yeah, baby."
Moonlight covers us,
alone in the universe of today,
not yesterday, not tomorrow,
today, now, here, us,
we.
I counted the stars in your eyes,
touched the wetness of your lips,
painted the colors of your skin,
the shadows across your face- the ones that only happen under full moons.
Fingers intersected like wires,
like streaks of stardust,
colliding.
Somewhere we stood in the castle in the sky,
where the sunsets never end,
the music never stops playing
and the cosmos feeds us.
Stars or rain, it doesnt matter.
Rain water dripping through our clothes,
we laugh and the umbrella blows away,
the streak of lightning across the sky connects us like fire,
the thunder rolling as we press our bodies so tightly together in the fearsome awe of our love and its creation.
We are one tonight,
inseparable for life and death,
earthy and real,
one body, one soul, one-
night.
Tonight.
Not yesterday, not tomorrow,
tonight.....
